Financialization: Murderess of Capitalism
Abstract
From a historical and philosophical perspective, this essay delves into stablishing a link between the recent worldwide economic financialization and a socially reactionary evolutionary process where the new productive conditions encroach the system more and more into a new form of feudalism, rather than to any form of capitalism or socialism. Having said that, the first section of this dissertation analyses the main characteristics of feudalism, then the second, third and fourth sections develop on the evolution of capitalism, the fifth part inquiries into the role of financialization and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in recent macroeconomic crises. The sixth entry discusses the concept of ‘Technofeudalism’ as a possible next stage of imperialism. Finally, conclusions are woven from the aforementioned.
